Each game takes place on a randomized galaxy, but each galaxy consists of several of the same planets.Įach game has one Auriga. However, that doesn't neccessarily tell you or me how many galaxies they inhabit. Well, we can infer from a few constants in ES about how "big" each faction may be.Įach game takes place on one of several different types of galaxy sized maps. If there are say 10 billion Cravers in total and all of them are fighters, they still stand no chance against any 40k faction. So we don't know how big the Cravers are. The problem with Endless Space vs 40k is that there is no description on how big the Endless Space factions are (and rightfully so, becuase that's decided during the game). They've been devoted to war themselves and understand the grim-dark reality that would give the 40k factions an edge over every other ES race. Originally posted by Varivox:Cravers would, imo, be the only faction that could stand a chance at survival 1v1 with a 40k faction tbh. so an Ork will always do something unpredictable and shatter everything he planned. because Orkz are random and without logic and/or rationality. Imotekh the Stormlord who is an overly beyond perfect strategist that can predict and counter every thought, actions of any strategy in war by 1,000,000 steps ahead. With larger and more powerful shards being more volatile and less-easily controlled and can do crazy stuff. In which shards of C'tan is sealed in monoliths that when in war they unleash to use its abilities. But if they were in their previous glory, they clearly will come to collect and consume all Dust in ES2.Įxcept they have personality now. Dunno what's happened with Necrons in WH40k, I heared that in latest rework GW turn them into simple high-tech "undead". Originally posted by corisai:Dust will be seen as contamination and heresy (and it's literaly is, playing with fire by allowing alien nanotech "augment" yourself). The only real edge I'd give to the ES races is the speed of their ships between systems without the need for crossing the warp, which would help them avoid Chaos corruption. Combine that with 40k's notorious "obliterate anything that isn't us" factions and all that diplomatic and trade efforts would do nothing for ES races. While ES races devoted time to diplomacy or trade, the 40k universe has been focused on war and only war for so long that I honestly don't think the ES races could outmatch 40k in battle. Tau might be the only ones who wouldn't outright obliterate ES factions, but would probably insist on conversion.Ĭravers would, imo, be the only faction that could stand a chance at survival 1v1 with a 40k faction tbh. Orks, well, let's be honest, they'd be Orky. Therefore, the 40k empire wouldn't bother with the ES factions.Ĭhaos would, of course, conquor and destroy anything they couldn't corrupt to Chaos.Įldar probably wouldn't go out of their way to eradicate, but again, they've been focused on war for so long that the ES factions just wouldn't have the experience needed to fight properly. Even the empire/horatio would be "unclean" for their reliance on dust, which is xeno heresy. The empire would see every non-empire/horatio faction as xeno scum (and rightly so) and would therefore eradicate them. Therefore, the 40k factions would simply wipe out all the ES factions in battle. Well, tbh, the 40k factions haven't exactly had any "focus" on diplomacy, they've been almost purely set on war. Tzeentch thinks the Vodyani can be fun to manipulate. The Tau will try a diplomatic approach (frankly I don't know much about them so IDK if there's any condition on who they are friendly with). Good thing they are not organized into a single faction so they probably won't genocide anyone. Narcissism from anyone other than Eldar is unforgivable. The Eldar (or Aeldari if you like) will obliterate the Horatio. An entire race of machines is too dangerous to be left alive. The Imperium will probably destroy every other faction, especially the Riftborn and Craver. If they refuse their military will be wiped out then they will be integrated. The Imperium will attempt to integrate The UE and other human factions into the Imperium. So the question is which 40k faction can be tolerate which Endless faction. Firstly I don't think there is any doubt that if any Endless faction fights against any 40k faction, the 40k faction will win every time.
